St Kitts and Nevis organized the 50th CARICOM Heads of Government Meeting from February 24 to February 27, 2026. The event served as an opportunity for the leaders of the Caribbean region to get together and discuss areas of mutual interest.
Dr Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, who is currently the Chairperson of the CARICOM, led the Heads of Government Meeting. On the sidelines of the meeting, Dr Drew had the opportunity to attend the CARICOM Business Cocktail 2026.
During the event, the leaders from all over the region were joined by the members of the private sector. Dr Drew shared that the cocktail was an opportunity for the attending stakeholders to explore ways to deepen economic collaboration across the Caribbean community.
The people who attended the event were able to discuss the growth of businesses within the region. Dr Terrance Drew delivered an address at the business cocktail in the presence of other regional leaders and CARICOM Colleagues. He spoke about the importance of regional partnerships for the growth of the business opportunities in the region. Dr Drew also spoke about how to unlock new opportunities for growth and development.
Dr Drew highlighted the success of the Republic Bank during his address at the business cocktail. He called the bank a leading regional financial institution
At the same time, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis commended Global Brands Group of Companies for its expansion and influence across the region.
Dr Terrance Drew took to his social media to share some information regarding the event and share his views on the development. He shared that the people of the Caribbean can work motr closely and strengthen regional integration, expand opportunities for trade and investment, and build a more resilient and prosperous Caribbean for our people. He believes that “The future of our region will be shaped by the strength of our partnerships.”
Dr Terrance Drew said that Caribbean businesses have tremendous potential and will help in the growth of the region.
