Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew visited Dominica and Grenada to take his outreach effort forward. The Prime Minister has been visiting the various leaders who have been visiting the leaders across the region to interact with them face to face.
The meetings are being done as a precursor to the 50th Regular Meeting of the Caricom Heads of Government. The meeting will be hosted in St Kitts from February 24 to February 27, 2026.
Dr Terrance Drew met with the Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit on Wednesday after he travelled to Roseau. While in the office of the Prime Minister of Dominica, they discussed regional unity.
While in Dominica, Dr Drew said that he had wanted to make sure that he has engaged with all the leaders of the CARICOM in person before the 50th Regular Meeting of the Caricom Heads of Government.
This will make sure that the meeting which is being hosted in St Kitts and Nevis in the last week of the month can go in a more positive manner. The Prime Minister of Dominica has appreciated Dr Terrance Drew for taking this initiative.
PM Roosevelt Skerrit has shared that by doing this, Dr Drew will be able to understand the challenges that the various nations are facing. At the same time, Minister Dr Terrance Drew will also have the opportunity to personally address the information.
The leaders of the Caribbean region and the people of the island are looking forward to a productive meeting. The leaders believe that the 50th meeting will be a a very special and interesting gathering.
The Prime Ministers of both the nations have shared that they discussed several crucial topics during their meeting. PM Skerrit has assured Dr Drew of Dominica’s support to the leadership of the CARICOM.
The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew also travelled to Grenada to meet the Prime MInister of the country, Dickon Mitchell. The meeting was also part of the diplomatic outreach with the leaders of CARICOM.
