Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew visited the Safe Harbor Operations over the weekend. The aim of the visit was to observe the growth of the operations on the site. Dr Drew has shared that he was encouraged by what he saw during his visit to the safe harbor. 

The Prime Minister took to his social media account to share some images from his visit to the site. He asserted that during his visit  he was happy to see several yachts docked at the harbor.

He said that he could see the growth which he has been seeing with the safe harbor signals the growing prominence of the yachting sector in the country. Dr drew had the opportunity to speak to the members of the people at the Safe Harbors. 

Safe Harbor is steadily positioning itself as a favoured destination for the marine and tourism sectors. The officials have shared that the members of the community will be able to access  more opportunity as the operations at the safe harbor grow.  The  safe harbor will bring significant opportunities for employment and for the people of the island. 

The officials have shared that the yachting sector of the country will need skilled individuals to work in different roles of the society. 

The officials have shared that they have been committed to sustainable growth, job creation, and expanding pathways for our people to participate in national progress. PM Terrance Drew has been positive about the expansion of the yachting sector of the island has significant potential for growth. The PM confirmed that they have seen increased interest in the island from the international partners. 

During the first interaction with the members of the media on January 8, Prime Minister Drew said that “If you go over right now at Safe Harbor, Christophe Harbor, you will see the largest number of yachts.”  So far,  the leadership of the country has brought in well over 125 yachts into that in just that short period. 

This is proof of the tangible growth of the yachting sector of the country with the members of the community. In the same interaction PM Terrance Drew shared that the emergence of the yachting sector will give varied career and employment options to the people of the island.
