Cruise Tourism has seen a boost in St Kitts and Nevis as Enchanted Princess, a remarkable cruise ships from the Princess Cruise line made an unscheduled cruise call. The tourism stakeholders have shared that this unexpected cruise day was good for their business.
The officials have shared that the Enchanted Princess made an unscheduled call to the island, bringing more than 4,000 passengers to St Kitts and Nevis. Passengers from the Enchanted Princess, including the staff of the cruise ship took the opportunity to deboard and experience the hospitality of St Kitts and Nevis.
The four thousand strong crowd from the cruise call has brought significant business opportunities. The officials have shared that the members are delighted to welcome the tourists to their shores.
The travelers had the opportunity to shop at Port Zante and experience the food and culture of the event. He highlighted that the members of the community will benefit from the people of the country by bringing them more exposure.
Tourism Authorities highlighted that the members of the community are delighted to have this opportunity to host international travelers. The cruise call is special because August is not the tourism stakeholders in what is technically considered off season.
The officials have shared that the travellers bought several locally-made craft, souvenirs, perfume and jewellery. The travellers took the opportunity to visit some of the popular sites and spots across the island.
St Kitts and Nevis Tourism stakeholders, taxi operators and restaurant owners shared that this was a good surprise. Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park was one of the popular tourist spots for the people to visit during the day.
The other spots which attracted the people visiting the country include: Romney Manor and Batik, Black Rocks. The people also took the time to visit the popular beaches of St Kitts and Nevis and sun bath.
The officials have shared that some of these travellers also visited the churches across the island nation. Mount Liamuiga and to Black Rocks were also some of the more popular spots for people to go to.
Some of the travellers also sailed to Nevis this Monday to experience the full beauty of the twin islands.
