The Minister of Foreign Affairs in the government of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Denzil Douglas, has shared a post on his social media to welcome three cruise ships to the shores of St Kitts at Port Zante on March 2, 2023. St Kitts and Nevis are observing their cruise season. St Kitts and Nevis received several calls from various cruise ships in December, January and February.
The island received three cruise ships to its coasts on the second day of the month: MSC Seaside, Star Flyer and Celebrity Equinox brought many visitors to St Kitts and Nevis. The minister of foreign affairs, Dr Denzil Douglas, also shared with the people of St Kitts and Nevis that Hundreds of fun-seeking and holiday travellers came to the shores. At the same time, he urged the people of the federation to ensure that they have an enjoyable time in our beautiful country.
Minister Denzil Douglas also proudly announced that five ships visited the federation on Wednesday, March 1. The ships were Celebrity Constellation, Arvia, Aida Diva, Carnival Spirit and Seabourn Ovation. The senior leader of the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party expressed his pride in the success of the ongoing cruise season in the country.
In the previous four months, Dr Denzil Douglas has regularly shared the cruise schedules, which is a testament to the success of the cruise season of St Kitts and Nevis. In December, January, and February, the Port of St Kitts has remained busy welcoming travellers and tourists throughout the month. On several days, the island hosted more than one cruise ship.
The cruise season served as a golden opportunity for the tourism sector of St Kitts and Nevis and provided it with the much-needed boost for its revival after the Covid-19 Pandemic.
