The 27th annual edition of the St Kitts Music Festival will feature 11 homegrown musical artists. The Music Festival’s goal is to promote international awareness of the twin island nation and provide a platform to present local talent to the world. The Music Festival is set to take place from June 26 to June 28, 2025.
Also at the same time, the festival will help boost tourism by increasing visitor arrivals, raise hotel occupancy, and stimulate greater economic activity. This surge in tourism will profit street vendors, tour guides and local businesses which will help improve the overall economy of the twin island Federation.
Performance Schedule Highlights for St Kitts Music Festival 2025
The St Kitts Music Festival goes live on Thursday, June 26, with the reigning Power Soca Monarch champions – Akaiiusweet and Tobap performing “Wicked,” their Sugar Mas 53 winning performance.
Also making history will be “The Honey Bees String Band” of Nevis as the first of their kind to perform at the festival. Moreover, Kollision Band will be performing their Road March-winning hit, “Keys to the City.” Kollision and the audience favorite “Keys to the City” are sure to be two highlights of the evening.
Furthermore, global entertainer DJ Tero will perform on June 27, bringing his great passion to the festival for music and international flair. He will be followed by Collin Wyatt who will take the center stage to perform “Most High Forever” while introducing the tourists to “SK Sweet.”
Also, for the first time Ideli Napi will join the festival stage to win over the crowd with “Mus Mek It.” Notably, following his first international tour, Dejour plans to invite festival guests to enjoy “Red Wine” while “Let Me Be plays” in the background.
This year, the St Kitts Steel Orchestra (SKSO) will be among the other local talents that will be performing at the festival’s main stage at Warner Park Stadium on June 27. The SKSO will present a diverse selection of music, performing genres such as reggae, dancehall, calypso, and soca.
In the spotlight on June 28 for the final night of the festival is former national sprint queen and Olympian, Virgil Hodge who will perform her latest single “Can’t Bring Me Down” alongside her other favorite tracks.
The last homegrown talent, Abena Amory – a singer and songwriter born in Nevis and is now based in the US, will also be making her festival debut. She is the daughter of a former Premier of Nevis, the late Vance Amory. Abena’s sound is a blend of Caribbean and American music, rooted in a rich musical heritage that includes St Vincent which is where her mother was born and New York City.
