CIU launches digital platform Saturn, transforming citizenship application process

The Citizenship by Investment Unit of St Kitts and Nevis launched a new digital platform. The digital platform, Saturn aims to transform the application processing for the Citizenship by Investment Programme of the country. 

The digital platform is being created in collaboration with Sonover, which is a technology company based in Grenada.  

The CIU has announced the launch of the platform on Monday, April 14. CIU said that the platform will make the processes smoother for all the stakeholders.   

The Executive Chairman of the CIU Board of Governors Calvin St. Juste, believes that the platform will change the way that applications are processed in St Kitts and Nevis. He said the platform is not only a technological upgrade, but a way for the CIU to make sure that they can improve security, service delivery and transparency in the processes 

With this, authorized application agents and other officers will be able to access live application tracking and the authorities have also confirmed that the new platform will help in improving transparency within the various processes.  

The nation is dedicated to maintaining the highest standard for the Global Investment Market. The officials have shared that they want to place St Kitts and Nevis into the international market.  

The Saturn Digital Platform will also improve user experience in dealing with the Citizenship by Investment Programme. The officials have shared that all the queries regarding the application process will be handled digitally.  

Furthermore, the CIU has also revealed that they are introducing a “upgraded, intuitive query management platform” which is set to completely do away with the previous manual work.  

The internal data processing of the Citizenship by Investment Unit will also streamline the processes. The manual data that the organization has previously been working with, will be reduced.  

The digital platform will be a one stop for all the processes and communications in and out of the Unit. The aim of this new development is to reduce human interaction and improve efficiency. 

The Digital Platform is set to revolutionize the CIU processes with: 

  • Streamlined Operations as manual data processing and paperwork will be reduced. 
  • Centralized Communication by providing a single channel for communication for all flow of information in and out of the CIU 
  • Live Application Monitoring 
  • Fully Digital Query Management and replacing paper based query management 
  • Audit Trail Visibility will help stakeholders get access to improved tracking and reconciliation. 
  • Modern User Experience will be given with upgrades in interface to make it cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing. 
  • Strengthened Risk Management 
  • Faster Processing Times due to minimum human interaction and better digital accuracy. 
  • Enhanced Data Protection in order to comply with the global standards, including GDPR. 
  • Comprehensive Client Support will be given through different channels like telephone, WhatsApp, and email. 

The founder of Sonover, Chad Fraser has said that the platform will help in improving efficiency. The application will make all the procedures more transparent and make a positive impact on the position of the CIU in the international investment migration market. 

International Marketing Agents, Authorized Agents, Due Diligence providers will also be able to work with the Unit more smoothly with the launch of this digital platform.
