A huge whale was sighted in the narrow channel between the sister islands of St Kitts and Nevis. The onlookers were left both mesmerized and shocked by the sighting. On Monday, a group of travellers, on the two sister islands, recorded the rare sighting on their mobile devices.

The island locals as well as travellers claimed that this was the first instance when they had seen a whale. The channel connecting the two sister islands, St Kitts and Nevis stretched 4.1 km/2.5mile.

The onlookers of the sight were delighted to witness this once in a lifetime scene and called themselves fortunate to be present on the scene live. The whale, which emerged from the depths of the ocean, put on quite the display for the onlookers.

The whale was seen moving through the channel, with its head and tail fin moving and splashing on the water occasionally. The locals have shared their various reactions on this rare sighting.

Some of the locals, who have lived in the federation for several years, reported that the whales come every year. The locals noted that, they migrate to the channel when the climate becomes colder.

This is because the waters around the island nations are comparatively warmer and conducive to the migrated majestic fish. The island locals have reported their own experiences with seeing the aquatic life that exists around the nation.

The channel that connects the islands of St Kitts and Nevis, is home to a variety of aquatic life. The waters are home to various fish, whales and more, but the sighting of such a majestic whale is both rare and thrilling.

The region is known for being a travelling home to the humpback whales, which makes them another species that locals can occasionally see. Bottlenose dolphins and other dolphin species are also commonly sighted around the island nation.

The videos of the recent sighting of the whale have been received with awe and wonder among the locals.
