St Kitts and Nevis welcomed four cruise ships on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Port Zante, bringing thousands of passengers eager to explore the stunning beaches and historic landmarks of the twin island nation.

The four cruise ships that visited Port Zante included Marella Discovery, AIDAdiva, Icon of the Seas, and Celebrity Apex.

The arrival of these cruise ships bringing thousands of passengers helps increase the economy and boosts tourism in St Kitts and Nevis.

Marella Discovery

Marella Discovery is a former Royal Caribbean International Vision-class cruise ship, operated by Marella Cruises.

The cruise ship has been named thrice since its debut – Splendour of the Seas (1995-2016), TUI Discovery (2016-2017), and Marella Discovery (2017-present).

Marella Discovery has a capacity of 1,830 passengers and 720-750 crew members and features a seven-story lobby, rock-climbing wall, and a 9-hole miniature golf course.

AIDAdiva

AIDAdiva is operated by the German Cruise line AIDA Cruises and is a Sphinx-class cruise ship, launched in 2007.

The cruise ship has a capacity of 2,050 passengers along with 646 cruise crew members and has fourteen (14) decks.

Icon of the Seas

Icon of the Seas is the lead Icon-class cruise ship and is operated by Royal Caribbean International cruise line.

Icon of the Seas is the largest cruise ship in the world at 248,663 gross tonnage and has a capacity of 5,610 passengers (double occupancy) and 7,600 (maximum capacity), with 2,350 crew members.

Celebrity Apex

Celebrity Apex is operated by Celebrity Cruises and is an Edge-class cruise ship with a capacity of 3,405 passengers, along with 1,320 cruise crew members.

The cruise ship made its debut from Athens to the Greek Island on June 19, 2021, due to COVID-19 pandemic and has a sister ship, Celebrity Edge in 2018.
