St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew attended the Prime Minister’s Independence Lecture Series and shared that this year’s address was delivered by Ambassador Dr Hadiya C J Claxton.
Prime Minister Drew shared the highlights from the Independence Lecture Series Event 2024 on his official social media account on September 11, 2024. The event was held on September 10th and took place at the Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium at ECCB.
PM Drew also stated that Dr Hadiya Claxton is a proud daughter of the soil and she has devoted much of her time to uplift her home country. In addition to this, she has significantly put efforts to inspire the youth and challenge them to strive for excellence.
Ambassador Claxton delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking speech and also introduced TrailBlaze SKN during her powerful speech. Significantly, TrailBlaze SKN is a mentorship initiative aimed at supporting the students of St Kitts and Nevis.
Deputy Prime Minister Dr Geoffrey Hanley also shared the post shared by the Government of the twin island Federation.
Along with the Prime Minister, the event was also attended by the dignitaries of St Kitts and Nevis including the wife of the Prime Minister Dr Drew, Diani Jimesha Prince Drew; the Governor-General Dame Marcella Liburd, members of the Federal Cabinet, and members of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps.
The Independence Lecture Series was also joined by the representatives of the business community and students from St Kitts and Nevis.
Notably, Hadiya Claxton is an esteemed business executive, attorney, diplomat, lecturer, and public relations strategist.
In addition to this, the students engaged in meaningful conversation with the Prime Minister and were also given the opportunity to share their thoughts. They were also rewarded with several awards and gifts that encouraged them positively.
