Diani Jimesha Prince Drew, wife of the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, donated fans to about seven pre-schools across the island.
This significant donation was made by Diani Drew under “The Joy Project” which is a foundation headed by first lady of St Kitts and Nevis.
Reportedly, the donations kicked off the “The Cool Schools Initiative,” which is designed as the climate comfort project that has its main focus on mitigating the impact of rising temperatures due to the increasing climate crisis.
The founder of the Joy Project said that the prime objective of this initiative is to create a more comfortable learning environment for students and teachers.
Notably, the schools to which this initiative proved to be beneficial were Challengers Day Care, Old Road Day Care, Sandy Point Pre-school, Sandy Point Nursery, Newton Ground Day Care, St Paul’s Preschool and Daycare, and Dieppe Bay day Care.

Diani Jimesha Prince-Drew also extended her gratitude to the teachers and the staff at the preschools and day cares for spending their time to show her the facilities of the school.
Diani Drew shared glimpses from her visit and the people appreciated the donations made under the Joy Project. Following the post made by her, one of the users commented, “Continue what you are doing for our future leaders, Mrs. Prince-Drew.”
Earlier, she also attended Cayon Primary School graduation ceremony, presented awards of excellence on behalf of the Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew.

Along with this, she has also made several donations to the preschools of various communities which are:
- KeBabies Child Development at Conaree
- Louisa Grant Pre-School at Conaree
- Canyon Day Care at Cayon
- Vera’s Day Care at Cayon
- Ray of Hope at Needsmust
- Nana’s House at St. Peter’s
- Peter’s Daycare at St. Peter’s
Diani Drew donated potable water to these preschools during the time of drought and increasing heat. She also expressed how she was pleasured to spend time with the children who are so confident and intelligent.
Considerably, the Joy Project under which the donations of fans are made, works under the vision of building a sustainable future where every individual feels valued. It works at spreading awareness among the public, building a supportive network that leads towards empowering individuals.
