Nevis: The 10th Nevis Mango Festival turned out to be a massive success, attracting people from across the island nation of St. Kitts and Nevis and beyond. The festival was scheduled from July 4 to 7, to celebrate the island’s most priced and loved fruit- Mango.

Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew and Premier Mark Brantley took their official Facebook handles to share glimpses from the event and to highlight their engagement with the attendees of the festival.

10th edition of the Nevis Mango Festival kicked off with a grand opening of the ‘Inaugural Evening.’ The opening day welcomed participants, chefs and tourists from all across the nation.

Mark Brantley mentioned that during the festival , he met people from all over the world such as Poland, Canada, Grenada, Barbados, Jamaica, USA, UK, USVI, Statia, and more.

The tourist showed zeal and enjoyed the chance to experience the true delight of the nation with the display and tastings of 44 varieties of mango. Premier Brantley also shared a video of himself savouring the taste of Stephen mango.

Devon Liburd, CEO of the Nevis Tourism Authority (NTA), welcomed the guests to the festival and put forward the importance of this historical event and also discussed objectives for the future to which the event is heading to.

The tourists also highlighted enjoying the most with the appearance of Mango Mascot. Premier Mark Brantley also lauded its arrival and enjoyed its visit.

The second day of the festival, ‘Mango Mania’ held at the Indian Castle Fruit Orchard and Pinney’s Beach saw the visit of people in hundreds.

From 1-6 p.m., Mango Mania featured mango-themed events for the whole family ranging from delicious Mango Munch and BBQ, Mango Eating Contest and more to exciting Mixologist Competition, Tug of War, Kidz mango Hunt, et al.

From 7-10 p.m., the event included unlimited serve of the mango cocktails throughout for guests to savor and enjoy. Exciting singing performances by people was also seen at the Pinney’s Beach.

The third day of the Nevis Mango festival, ‘Food Tour’ invited visitors in numbers to tour around the restaurants serving delicious mango-bites, dishes, and cocktail prepared exclusively for the festival.

The visitors were seen wearing t-shirts with “A Taste of Nevis Passport Food Tour” printed on them and dressed in yellow and green to follow the theme of the festival. People enjoyed themselves with a guided tour on the party bus and savoring mango-infused cocktails later at Bar Crawl.

‘For the Love of Mango,’ the concluding day of the Nevis Mango festival saw the influx of visitors in large numbers. As it was the tenth sweet year, marking a decade of the festival, the event was pulled out all the stops.

The main event included famous beverage and food sampling with over 50 chefs and mixologists participating. Mango-tingled activities such as Kidz Zone, Regional Chef Competition, Canvas Paint and Sip and Face Painting, etc., were featured throughout the day.

To bid farewell to the 2024 Nevis Mango Festival, live performances by Abena Amory, Denise Gordon, and more was executed. Cultural dance of Nevis was also showcased at the festival.

People grooved to the musical performances by renowned musicians and singers such as the Regal Band and Greenhouse Band enjoying the Wrap-Up Concert to its fullest.

Locals and tourists both rated the 2024 festival 10/10. “It was great 10/10 VIP style, thee food organizers and volunteers were awesome, I enjoyed the mango festival so much this year,” stated Melia Thompson, one of the attendees of the Mango Festival

“It was a wonderful event. Well organized. The planning committee addressed all the concerns from last year and went beyond expectations. Kudos to the Ministry of Tourism and the planning team,” mentioned another visitor, Patricia Welsh.
