Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew announced the official opening of the climate-smart model home on Thursday in Conaree at 9:00 am. This significant step is taken to promote the sustainable living standards and overall development of the people in the Federation.
The Federal Cabinet of St Kitts and Nevis visited the newly constructed climate-smart model home in Conaree on Monday. The East Coast Housing Development Ltd has collaborated with the NHC to construct homes as part of the government’s housing solution.
The walk-through event aimed to observe the developments that have been going on since the beginning of the construction phase.
PM Drew took to his official social media handle (Facebook) to share glimpses of his visit to newly built climate-smart homes.
“The Federal Cabinet of St Kitts and Nevis, was among the first to tour the newly constructed climate-smart model home in Conaree, today Monday, March 11, 2024. The home, developed by the East Coast Housing Development Ltd and facilitated by the National Housing Corporation (NHC), is set for its official unveiling on Thursday, March 14, 2024, in Conaree at 9:00 am”, added the leader of St Kitts and Nevis.
The tour of the Federal Cabinet displayed the government’s commitment and dedication to boosting sustainable development in the nation. This project aims to provide affordable access to homes and meet the basic requirements of the citizens.
“The Federal Cabiet’s tour of the model home underscores the government’s dedication to fostering sustainable development and providing affordable housing solutions that cater to the modern needs of its citizens”, the Prime Minister wrote.
The government is looking forward to building Twenty-four hundred homes with advanced technology for deserving families in St Kitts. PM Drew envisions providing six hundred homes every year to the people of the country.
Furthermore, the collaborative efforts of the Government, NHC, and ECH exemplify a shared commitment to build modern, liveable, and forward-thinking communities for our citizens.
