Jacinth Henry Martin was recently appointed as the new Permanent Representative of St. Kitts and Nevis to the Organization of American States (OAS) for the second time. She resumed her work on 1st of November 2023.

Jacinth Henry Martin has always been serving as the ambassador to the United States from the Caribbean island nation of St Kitts and Nevis since February 2011 and was recently appointed to resume her work as the representative for the second time.

Jacinth Henry made a grand entrance onto the international stage and presented her credentials to the Organization of American States (OAS ) Secretary General Luis Almagro in a ceremony which was held at the headquarters of the hemispheric Organization in Washington.

Jacinth Henry emphasized that St. Kitts and Nevis is fully dedicated to strengthening the four pillars democracy, human rights, security and development upon which this Organization was founded, recognizing the vital role the OAS plays in giving a voice to those who have been historically marginalized, especially on matters of global heft where the cumulative clarion call of small states can be elevated for attention at the hemispheric and global table.
