The Department of Youth Empowerment of St Kitts and Nevis has invited the young people to enter and participate into the competition of essay writing which is going to be held on the 13 November 2023 and it is sponsored by the BW. The easy competition consists of 5 topics and each of the participant is allowed to choose only one topic of their own choice and write about it.
It is to be noted that the Department of Youth Empowerment of St Kitts and Nevis has shared the list of the topics for the participants. The essay topics are as follows:
- Cultural preservation is the responsibility of the younger generation. What are your views? ( the importance of culture and how to preserve it)
- The advancement of modern day technology has limited the practical capabilities of the younger generation. Please discuss.( In what way , what can be the solution)
- Social media has blurred the lines between appropriate and
inappropriate behaviour amongst young people. Do you agree?( highlight the facts between appropriate and in appropriate)
- There is a correlation between excessive social media usage, poor mental health and effective communication among children and young people. True or false?( what kind of relationship or similarities are they)
- Violence in video and online games have contributed to aggressive and violent(in what way is it contributing to violence or aggressiveness)
The rules that the participants are expected to follow during the St Kitts and Nevis Youth Essay competition are as follows:
- The essay must consist of 2500 to 3000 words (no less than is accepted)
- The essay is to be submitted with cover page consisting the name of the participant the topic that the participant has chosen and contact information of the participant
- The essay is to be submitted to aleski@brandy-williams.co.uk
- And most importantly the essay is to be submitted before 13 November 2023
For those people of St Kitts and Nevis that are going to participate they is going to be some prizes for the top 3:
- 1st place 500 dollars
- 2and place 300 dollars
- 3rd 200 dollars
