The Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) of the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) searched for two empty lots in the East Street. During the surprise search of the empty lots, the Police Force recovered contraband items. The search operation was carried out by the team of the Anti-Narcotics Unit of the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force on August 21st, 2023.

The police force is known to carry out such operations at fairly regular intervals in the country’s various communities. The leadership of the Police Force has clarified that they want to ensure that the communities of their beloved federation can remain rid of crime and criminal elements.

The police force searched two empty lots on East Street, St Kitts. In the said exercise, the officers found nine (9) .45 rounds of ammunition on one of the lots. Further searching also uncovered a quantity of a white powdery substance suspected to be Cocaine.

After the conclusion of the search operation, the police force took both sets of contraband into their custody. They took the initiative to share a thorough update on the issue. They claimed that no one has been held accountable for the finds.

The Crime Scene Unit (CSU) of the St Kitts and Nevis Police Force processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value. Further, the team asserted that they have started an investigation into the matter.

The Police officials promised to keep the general public informed of its developments. Anyone with information that could assist with the successful apprehension and conviction of the perpetrators of criminal activity is urged to contact the nearest Police station, or the Crime Stoppers Hotline, 707.

The force officials have been working diligently to keep crime and related incidents in the federation at a low. The country has been struggling with shooting and robbery incidents for the last few months. Accordingly, they has enlisted the support of all the people in the various communities of St kitts and Nevis to fight the issue.
