The representative of Constituency 1 in the Nevis Island Administration, Spencer Brand, has taken to his social media account to share some glimpses from the prayer service that he attended along with Bishop Ernest Flemming at the St Paul’s Anglican Church, Charlestown, on the day of Pentecost. The assembly representative of Constituency 1 marked the occasion of the Whit Sunday with this prayer session.
The Whit Sunday marks fifty days since the day of easter, or essentially the seventh Sunday since Easter Sunday. The occasion is celebrated in several parts of the world. Spencer Brand marked his attendance at the St Paul’s Anglican Church, Charlestown, to celebrate the Pentecost or the Whit Sunday. He shared some images from the prayer event in the presence of the people of the constituency.
The Concerned Citizens Movement affiliated politician, who handles the responsibility for the Ministry of Communications, Works, Water Services, Physical Planning and Environment, Posts, Labour and Disaster in the Nevis Island Administration, shared that he was honoured and proud to worship alongside Bishop Ernest Flemming.
Minister Brand shared that he has several fond memories of the spiritual leader. He shared that the event was significant as the former priest of the St Paul’s Anglican Church, Charlestown, Father Cleverton Beckford, ends his assignment at St Paul’s Anglican. Minister Spencer Brand extended his deep gratitude to the spiritual leader for his years of service to the religious institution. The social media users stated that The service was a really great service with both Priest and Bishop, and it was a pleasure to have an almost full quota of servers to celebrate this special service today.
The Minister’s wife, who was also in attendance at the event, shared that it was a great prayer session with both priests Rev. Beckford and Bishop Flemming.
