The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has partnered with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Marine Resources and Cooperatives to stage its first-ever Diplomatic Week, ‘Diplomatic Boulevard’. The Diplomatic Boulevard was hosted on Thursday, April 27, 2023. The event was hosted within the margins of the annual Agriculture Open Day event. The Agriculture Day event is being held for two days, Thursday and Friday, April 27-28.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the government of St Kitts and Nevis is hosting The Diplomatic Boulevard to allow the citizens and residents to meet and interact with the diplomats accredited to St. Kitts and Nevis.
2023 marks the third edition of Diplomatic Week of St Kitts and Nevis.
The diplomatic week started on April 23, 2023, and it will conclude on Friday, April 28 2023. The diplomats from more than 40 countries from across the globe travelled to St Kitts and Nevis for the Diplomatic Week. Honourable Samal Duggins and a host of school children from St Kitts and Nevis have been engaging the Heads of Missions since the event’s opening.
Minister Samal Duggins shared glimpses of The Diplomatic Boulevard on his social media account. Since the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was hosting the event in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources, Minister Duggins took the opportunity to invite the people of St Kitts and Nevis to attend the event.
He wrote: I take this opportunity to invite all to the first ever Diplomatic Boulevard, which will take place on Thursday as part of our Agricultural Open Day. The Minister asserted that the gesture of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is an excellent opportunity for students and other members of the general public to learn more about foreign affairs and discover career opportunities in the field.
The prominent attendants of St Kitts and Nevis’ Diplomatic Week included the High Commissioner of Saint Kitts and Nevis to the United Kingdom, Kevin Isaac. He was joined by a special representative from the United Kingdom to St Kitts and Nevis, Gurdip Dev Bath.
