The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party leader and the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne, has outlined some ambitious plans for implementation in the new year 2023. The announcement of these plans comes only days before the general elections in the twin islands.
Prime Minister Gaston Browne has announced the projects through his social media account. The Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda topped the announcement post with the words, Record cruise ships. Hotels full. New port. Growing economy. And, now, big vision for the future!
The initiatives announced by the Prime Minister Gaston Browne focus on developing the twin islands. Prime Minister Browne’s plans for the Antigua Cruise Port start in the first quarter of 2023. The project will utilize the investment of $270 Million.
Further, the Prime Minister announced that the Performing Arts Center construction in Antigua and Barbuda would start in the year 2023. The Prime Minister also announced the Harrison Center Project has already begun.
Prime Minister Gaston Browne announced that Saudi Arabia has already provided funds of 216 Million for the five-island campus of the University of West Indies. The construction for the further project will start in 2023. The campus will facilitate higher education and learning on the island, and students will not have to move from home to other countries for quality education.
The Prime Minister further announced the Royal Caribbean International Beach Club. The project will get an investment of $270 Million and commence in 2023. The construction of the international beach club will provide a much-needed boost in the tourism sector of Antigua and Barbuda. Further, this will assist the further development of the economy of Antigua and Barbuda.
