The St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) established the Office of the Chairman as a new framework to boost both economic development and property and real estate constructions together with excellent programme customer service operations under the Citizenship by Investment (CBI) programme.

Under the leadership of Calvin St. Juste, Chairman of the Board of Governors, the Office of the Chairman will focus on three primary objectives:

  1. The new entity will work to advance economic growth while conducting real estate and development assessments.
  2. Delivering superior customer experiences.
  3. This move supports the Sustainable Island State Agenda adopted by government as an expression of territorial dedication to transparent governance.

Economic Growth and Real Estate Oversight

Through its activities, the Office operates to make CBI projects beneficial for the local economy by enabling business opportunities for workers and enterprises from the area. The Office will oversee real estate and development project reviews to meet investment minimums and resale conditions throughout the approval stage. Bringing authorized projects to completion will require the Office to work with national and international experts.

Customer Service and Operational Leadership

The Office of the Chairman maintains one central point of contact for developers, clients and service providers as it handles all regulatory compliance and approval streamlining. Damille James who comes with 20 years of banking experience leads Daily operations as Executive Director after joining the role.

Since dedicating his career to the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) over the past ten years James will direct efforts to streamline real estate operations with speedier issue clarification.

Strengthening Good Governance

The CIU Taskforce under the Office will perform audits on real estate along with PBO transactions to promote transparency and safeguard accountability. The continuous nature of audits will enhance the CIU’s status as a conscientious overseer through its proved susceptive monitoring which maintains project execution at premier international criteria.

Impact on Stakeholders

  • Through improved procedure developers will encounter easier project approvals.
  • Clients together with investors will get improved customer experiences as well as superior investment options.
  • Sustainable projects together with new job opportunities will create business growth across local communities.

Through promoting best practices while creating strategic partnerships and maintaining global compliance the Office of the Chairman has transformed the CBI program significantly. Through this initiative St. Kitts and Nevis strives to strengthen investor faith while establishing a leading role as an investment destination in the citizenship market.
