St Kitts and Nevis’ National Carnival Queen, Nekirah Nicholls, bagged the title of Jaycees Caribbean Queen 2022 at the pageant held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Jaycees International Queen hosted the spectacle on the neighboring island of Antigua. Two days after the event’s conclusion, Nekirah Nicholls has finally returned home.
Early on Friday, July 29, the National Carnival Committee, who had generously Sponsored Nicholls for the event, hosted a brief Welcome Home Ceremony for the newly crowned regional queen. The National Carnival Committee of St Kitts and Nevis hosted the welcome home ceremony at the world-class Kayan Jet Lounge, located near the main airport terminal building at the RLB International Airport.
St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival shared pictures and glimpses from the Welcome Home ceremony hosted for the new Miss Jaycees Caribbean Queen.
The 59th Miss Jaycees International Pageant was hosted under the theme, ‘Unleashing the potential within, through resilience and determination. The former “National Carnival Queen” was also dressed “Most true to the theme”, according to the pageant judges.
Nekirah Nicholls won four of the five judged segments at the Jaycees International Queen Pageant. She won the elements:
- Best Interview
- Best Swimwear
- Best Performing Talent
- Best Modeling Skills in Evening Wear
Nicholls was crowned as the Jaycees Caribbean Queen on Wednesday, following which there was a downpour of congratulatory messages on Social Media. Shawn K. Richards of the People’s Action Movement posted a congratulatory message on his Facebook profile, praising Nekirah Nicholls for her victory in the Jaycees Pageant.
Before Nicholls, St Kitts and Nevis was represented in The Jaycees International Queen Competition by Tawanna Collins, who competed in the pageant in 2019. Unfortunately, she was unable to bring the crown of Jaycees Caribbean Queen
St Kitts and Nevis was grateful and proud of Nekirah Nicholls for representing the twin-island federation in the international pageant with grace and beauty.
