The Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley, who recently returned from a four-day delegation from the Republic of China (Taiwan), shared several significant updates about the developments in his home island.
Premier Mark Brantley applauded St Kitts and Nevis’s swim team for being the first federation team to be selected and sent to the OECS Swimming competition. The OECS will host the competition in Saint Lucia.
According to Premier Brantley, the feat is most historic as this is the first time a team from St Kitts and Nevis is selected to represent the nation in an overseas event.
Through his social media, the Premier congratulated the team and the coaches for the feat and wished them luck in the oncoming competition.
Further, Spencer Brand, Minister of Labour, Public Works, Physical Planning, Posts and the Environment in the Nevis Island Administration, took to his social media account to update the residents and citizens of Nevis about the present status of affairs in Nevis.
Reportedly, the Nevis Island Administration is installing a new 250,000-gallon Glass fused Water tank at Pond Hill. The administration in Nevis is doing so to increase the island’s water storage capacity.
Minister Brand also tagged the leader of the CCM and Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley, in the post.
Here, it is worth mentioning that the neighbouring sister island of Nevis, St Kitts, is also currently making efforts to increase the water storage capacity of the island. St Kitts’ Minister of Public Utilities, Konris Maynard shared the update for the same on his social media through his social media.
In the final update shared by Premier Mark Brantley, he shared details regarding the candidate launch of Latoya Biyanca Jones. Jones will be contesting the Nevis elections from Nevis #5.
He urged the Nevisians to reach the candidate launch on Saturday, November 12, at 7:30 PM. The launch event will take place at Barnes Ghaut Community Center.
