Latoya Jones, the St Thomas Parish of Nevis representative, is organizing a St. Thomas Parish Youth Excellence Award 2023. In the 2023 edition of the awards, she is honouring six remarkable members of the youth coming from her community. The politician has shared a special post highlighting one of the awardees, Nayala Daniel.
Daniel is being honoured for her contribution to the field of Performing Arts. The representative of St Thomas Parish, Latoya Jones, shared glowing remarks and praises for the awardee on her social media Nayala Daniel was born on June 12 1996, at Craddock Road in Nevis’s St Thomas Parish.
According to the CCM representative of St Thomas Parish, Latoya Jones Nayala is an astute scholar and a purpose-driven young lady. She also claimed that the awardee has an infectious personality. Latoya Added in her social media post that Although she has faced a few tragedies during her childhood, Nayala has not allowed circumstances to impede her ambition. It has ignited her relentless pursuit of excellence as she firmly posits that “tough times don’t define you. They refine you”.
In light of this, Nayala was awarded for her Music and courage to overcome as one of the 25 Most Remarkable Teens in 2014. The performing arts glitter Nayala’s life. She is now a full-time dance instructor at the NCDF for all schools on the island. Additionally, she holds the position of one of Regal Band’s lead vocalists and founder of her adult dance group, The Elites. She is a steelpan player, dramatist, singer and makeup artist.
Latoya Jones claims that the awardee, Nayala is the epitome of a true Queen. Notably, as she holds the title of Miss Gingerama 2017 and Miss Culture Queen 2019, Nayala volunteers her expertise to many Queens and young ladies, chaperoning and assisting where needed.
Nayala aspires to be a Performing Arts Manager and a Professional Dance Instructor. She plans to further her studies at the EDNA Manley College in Jamaica, where she will study Management of Performing Arts with a minor in Music. After college, she plans to return home, pave the way for talented individuals, and help raise the standard of Performing Arts in Nevis.
