Latoya Biyanca Jones, a Nevis-based Concerned Citizens Movement member, has taken the initiative of a community walkthrough. Through this initiative, the politician of the Concerned Citizens Movement and CCM ambassador of St Thomas Parish will get the chance to interact with the members of the various communities. Through this initiative, she wants to remain in touch with the people of her constituency.
In line with this, Jones shared that she is always excited to meet with her constituents. She confessed that she is open to speaking to everyone, regardless of their political persuasion or orientation. St Thomas Parish belongs to all of us. Therefore, all can share their views, concerns, and ideas. Latoya Biyanca Jones asserted that she wants to hear it all!
The meetings will start at 4:30 every day, and the community members will be given a chance to interact with the representative of CCM and share their views and concerns with her. The first meeting of the Community walkthrough will take place at on:
- Monday, April 24, 2023. The venue of the meeting will be JESSUPS VILLAGE
- On Tuesday, April 25, 2023, Latoya Biyanca Jones will interact with the JESSUPS & VAUGHAN’S VILLAGE members.
- On Wednesday, April 26, the members of the COLQUHOUNS community will get the chance to interact with the representative and share their ideas, concerns and grievances with Latoya.
- On Thursday, April 27, 2023 Latoya Jones will be present at the BARNES GHAUT VILLAGE as a part of the community walkthrough.
- On Friday, April 28, 2023, COTTON GROUND VILLAGE will serve as the venue for the meeting with the politician.
- On Tuesday, May 2, 2023, the politician will interact with the community at the UPPER CRADDOCK ROAD
- On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, she will move on to the LOWER CRADDOCK ROAD to meet with the members of her community.
Although Latoya Biyanca Jones was unsuccessful in the recently held elections for the Nevis Island Assembly, she remains highly committed to the cause of the development of her state. Accordingly, she urged her community to continue to work together to build a better St Thomas, a better Nevis.
