Barbados, Belize, Dominica and St Vincent and the Grenadines will be implementing the full free movement of nationals by October 1, 2025. The officials have shared that the free movement mandate has been under consideration for several months.

The CARICOM Chairman and Jamaican Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness made the official statement.
He announced the development during the official closing of the 49th General Meeting of The Caribbean Community. The organization has shared that the pace and implementation of the Free movement agreement is much slower than anticipated.
As such, the Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness has shared that they will do everything in their power to speed up the process. The organization has shared that they have spoken to the leadership of all four nations extensively.
The representatives from all four countries have promised that they will continue to work together for the implementation of the free movement initiative. The free movement within the Caribbean will help in making sure that the skilled nationals can travel within the four nations without restrictions.
Same way, the nationals can travel for education, business, jobs and more without significant paperwork or red tape. The skilled workers from one part of the Caribbean can allegedly work in another part of the Caribbean freely
The administration of Barbados, Belize, Dominica and St Vincent and the Grenadines are delighted to be part of the agreement. The agreement has been signed by all four nations under the Protocol on Enhanced Cooperation. All the CARICOM members signed this protocol.
The rollout of Free Movement Agreement in 2025 October will serve as a test run for how full implementation initiative will be done with the involvement of all the other nations. The Prime Minister of Jamaica, who made the announcement, highlighted that his nation is also making efforts to introduce free movement.
