The St Kitts and Nevis police force is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on January 8th, 2024, at Lower Shaw Avenue, McKnight, St. Kitts, between 11 AM and 12 PM.
It has been reported that the incident left twenty-three-year-old Addison Martineau of Upper Shaw Avenue, McKnight, with body wounds.
The Royal St. Christopher police force has released a report on their social media platform updating the public on the case.
The early investigations that were conducted show that two masked individuals exited a vehicle and opened fire on the congregations of people whose cars were being washed.
Martineau sustained injuries in the process and was rushed to the Joseph N. France General Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. He’s currently admitted to the hospital in stable condition.
The Crime Scene Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value.
The Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force has promised to keep the public updated on the case developments as it progresses.
The police force has urged anyone with any information to report it immediately to the police as it will assist the RSCNPF in the pursuit of justice in this or any other criminal matter,
the residents of St. Kitts and Nevis are encouraged to contact the nearest Police station or call the Crime Stoppers’ Hotline for any suspicious invent that they might have witnessed.
Additionally, The Traffic Department of the RSCNPF has temporarily suspended the previous traffic flow changes for water works and central Upper Cayon.
