The government of St Kitts and Nevis has initiated a flash flood watch in the area after the weather reports warned of precarious weather conditions in the island nation. The flash flood watch remains in affect in all the parts of the nation affected by the flash flood warning. The government has urged the people to exercise precaution for the benefit and safety of the people.
The National Emergency Management Agency took to the official sources to communicate the advisory of the people. They have urged the people to stay safe and informed in such a situation. The Government has also taken the initiative to inform the people that the government offices will remain closed for the day, due to the flash flooding advisory.
The government and the MET office shared that the flood watch is applicable from April 6, 2023. Additionally, all the government offices were closed early on the suspicion of the weather turning foul. The government is committed to protecting the people of St Kitts and Nevis, accordingly, the government has given out the directive to close the offices for the benefit of the people.
