St Kitts and Nevis warmly welcomed the four cruises to its shores on the first day of February 2024. The Four vessels, including MSC Seaside, the Celebrity Ascent, Explorer of the Seas, and the Star Flyer, docked at the shores of Port Zante and downtown Basseterre, bringing thousands of cruise passengers.
On reaching the island, the cruise passengers had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the buzz of activities along with the rich culture and history of the island. The passengers were also served some delicious cuisines and explored naturalistic bounties.
As per the information, these cruises were among over 30 cruises scheduled to grace the island throughout the month, carrying passengers from different regions of the world.
After receiving the inaugural visit of the World’s Largest Icon of the Seas on January 30, carrying over 5000 cruise passengers, this was the second time the island welcomed numerous other cruise passengers to its shores.
Following receiving the four cruises, the island is now all set to welcome two more cruises to its shores on February 3, with the visit of Explore One and Mein Schiff 4.
Meanwhile, the Icon of the Seas will again grace the island’s captivating shores on February 27. Several ministers have also extended their warm welcome to the cruise passengers.
Denzil Douglas, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, while sharing the February month cruise schedule, added, “February Cruise Ship Schedule,
ICON OF THE SEAS will be here in St Kitts on Tuesday 27th February”.
Previously, Samal Duggins- the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Marine Resources, Entrepreneurship, Creative Economies and Cooperatives, marked the significant arrival of the Icon of the Seas.
He said, “A significant milestone for our thriving tourism industry! Not only did Icon of the Seas make its prestigious first stop here in our beautiful twin island federation, but it was navigated to our picturesque shores by our very own Pilot, Liddell Harvey, from my constituency number four, Middle Island. A proud moment for every Kittitian and Nevisian!”
Notably, the busiest month in St Kitts and Nevis is anticipated to bring several opportunities to the local businesses and communities. It is also likely to increase and enhance the tourism sector of the nation.
