The Government of St Kitts and Nevis has received financing of amount equivalent to $4,155,000 from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB).
This funds have been given for the Enhancing Learning Continuity and Inclusion project, with the Education Management Information Systems Department, and Education Planning Department being the Executing Agency for the project.
Moreover, Ministry of Education will be responsible for the overall implementation of the project, and invites eligible and qualified bids for the supply of installation of network routers, network switches, and wireless access points.
The bidder is allowed to bid for any individual or combination of lots – Lot 1: Public Secondary Schools and Lot 2: Public Primary Schools.
Furthermore, the payment will only proceed at the request of the Government of St Kitts and Nevis and will be subject to the terms and conditions of the loan agreement.
- The loan agreement prohibits withdrawal from the loan account to pay a person or entity, and for import of goods.
- No party other than the Government of St Kitts and Nevis can drive any rights from the loan agreement or have any claim for the loan.
Things to keep in mind for firms applying in the bidding process whether individually or as a joint venture
The firms must be legally incorporated or organized and have their principal place of business in an eligible country.
They should be more than fifty percent owned by a citizen/ citizens, a bona fide resident, or resident of an eligible country.
More than fifty percent of the value of the contract should be paid to sub-contractors or sub-consultants that are not from an eligible country.
Eligible bidders will require to submit their qualification information with to establish their eligibility and qualification to perform the contract if accepted.
The information should include business certificate of incorporation, evidence of completion of similar work, and the bidding and qualification information must be submitted in the English language in the prescribed forms inserted in the Bid Documents.
