Kunal Tilokani has been selected to play in the Commonwealth Future Stars Under-23 cricket match. The team includes 12 young cricketers from islands across the Caribbean, including Dominica, Saint Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda and more.
Every member of the team is from a different island in the Caribbean, which makes the team diverse and unique.
The St. Kitts Cricket Association announced the selection of the cricketer in the Caribbean Under-23 team. They are confident that Kunal will represent the country well with his performance in the match.
Antigua and Barbuda’s Sir Vivian Richard Stadium will be the venue for the match on Sunday, November 1. The game is being hosted on the sidelines of 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
Both the teams will play ten overs each. The format makes the competition quick and tight because this is the shortest form of the sport played professionally.
The match will be played between Team Caribbean and a team which represents the wider Commonwealth. The Caribbean team will feature 11 more emerging cricketers from around the Caribbean Region.
Dominican cricketer Stephan Pascal will be the captain of the Caribbean team. The West Indies Cricketing legend, Vivian Richard will serve as the honorary team manager.
Cricket West Indies is hosting the under 23 10-over match between the Commonwealth and the CARICOM teams. The game will be hosted in collaboration with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda and the Commonwealth Secretariat.
The event is also being supported by several partners and sponsors. The team from the Caribbean side consists of young and up and coming players between the ages of 18 to 22.
