St Kitts teachers’ union is celebrating world teacher’s day. The nation dedicates the day to the work ethic and devotion the teachers show to their duty. St Kitts and Nevis has proposed an itinerary of events and laid down a schedule for the week of activities for the occasion; the government stated that the teachers are the most significant pillar of the developed society.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Denzil Douglas, extended warm congratulations and greetings to Tryphena Hodge, Educator at Dieppe Bay Primary School, as she has completed 34 years of dedicated and exemplified service to the Nation and Nation’s Children.
Dr Douglas wrote on his Facebook Account, congratulating and appreciating the teacher.
“Congrats and much appreciation for your many years of service Hodge,” said Dr Denzil Douglas.
On Sunday, 2nd October 2022, Denzil Douglas joined the Teachers, Staff and Students of the Dieppe Bay Primary School at a Worship and thanksgiving Service at the KG Swanston Memorial Methodist Church in Dieppe Bay at the commencement of Teachers Week of Activities.
Further, he added,
“Tryphena Hodge is celebrated as the Longest Serving Teacher on Staff, with 34 years of dedicated service as an Educator and Mentor to many of our Nation’s Children.”
“May our Teachers in the Federation have a well-appreciated and productive week of Activities.”
