St Kitts and Nevis is joining the rest of the world in celebrating UN Day. October 24 is the day when the international community came together to establish the UN (United Nations). Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew and the government of St Kitts and Nevis is also participating in celebrating the occasion.
The Prime Minister has also extended his best wishes on the internationally celebrated occasion. He shared a post with his greetings. He has also announced that as a part of the celebration, the government of St Kitts and Nevis will host a grand Lighting Ceremony at Government Headquarters on October 24, 2023.
Government Headquarters will light up in blue to celebrate the 78 years of the UN or the 78th UN Day. October 24 also marks an important achievement for the twin islands, St Kitts and Nevis in the international arena
Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew announced that October 24 marks the 40th Anniversary of St Kitts and Nevis’s membership in the United Nations. He added that this joint celebration of UN Day highlights the lasting essence of global solidarity and collaboration.
The Prime Minister shared some glimpses from the commemoration of the UN Day. The government headquarters were “bathed in a beautiful shade of blue.” Dr Drew and the members of his administration were present at the government house to participate in the celebration.

The prime Minister delivered a featured address at the government house to mark the occasion and shared the achievements that they have attained in the previous forty years. Prime Minister also took the opportunity to remember the UN’s tireless efforts in promoting international collaboration, humanitarian aid, and the pursuit of a better world for all.
