St Kitts and Nevis: The Ministry of Small Business and Entrepreneurship collaborated with the St Kitts Music Festival Committee to host Agri Night Market Music Festival Edition on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. The event featured the inaugural karaoke competition, food, giveaways, and entertainment.
Miguel Flemming, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, stated that the night market had become a signature event in St Kitts and Nevis that the ministry wishes to host every month.
The Agri Night Market Music Festival Edition was held at Basseterre Public Market from 5 pm to 10 pm, and DJ Tero provided entertainment.
The Nevis Abattoir also returned to participate in this week’s Agri Night Market. The stall of Nevis Abattoir featured Smoked Chicken, Chicken Sausage, Whole and Diced Chicken, as well as Diced, Sliced and Smoked Beef, Spicy Italian Pork Sausage, Diced and Sliced Pork, Smoked Ham and Rotisserie Chicken.
The night market also featured several varieties of fruits and vegetables for the visitors, and all the available products were fresh.
During the night market, Miguel Flemming added, “We are here at the AgriNight Market Music Festival edition. It is exciting down here tonight.”
He added that having karaoke is amazing, and the atmosphere has been crazy with the participants. This month there were nine participants who showcased their products, and they all seemed to be enjoying the event, as per Flemming.
The Permanent Secretary that he hopes that the ministry host it every month for one day because it recognises that the vendors are happy and everyone benefits. A community atmosphere is created where anyone can come and interact with the vendors and persons alike.
“And so we create a nightlife in St Kitts and Nevis. So the Agri Night Market has become a signature event for the Federation, and we want to continue to grow this activity,” he said.
