St Kitts and Nevis: SKN Minister of Tourism Lindsay Grant said that the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis is expected to complete the ‘De Stripe’ project in a period of six months.

The Minister made this announcement during the Prime Minister’s monthly press conference on 14 January, where he said that he hoped the area of the strip would be completed by late 2021.

“We were having some delays with the strip because we are still in the process of working out what exactly we are going to do for sewage on the strip.”

The Tourism Minister said, “We were in the case of using our facility among the St. Kitts Marriott, which are reducing or engaging in building our own sewage system in the Frigate Bay strip.”

He says he hopes that his ministry will get advice on determining what action to take with the sewage system within the next two days.

“Other things to be completed on the strip would be grassland, boardwalk and sewage systems and then exit and entry facilities.”
