St Kitts and Nevis: Minister of Creative Economy Samal Duggins shared the throwback to the Creative Power Arts Gala & Awards Show and recognised several talented creatives for their contributions to the creative sector.
The Minister shared the glimpses from the Creative Power Arts Gala and extended congratulations to various creatives acknowledged for their talent.
The creatives recognised for their exceptional contributions are:
- Dejour Alexander – Performing Arts
- Sasha Herbert – Visual Arts
- Verlyn Williams – Cosmetic Arts
- Jihan Williams Knight – Literary Arts
- Anstasha Elliot – Culinary Arts
- Demar Byran Jackson – Film and Media
- Dr Ricardo Neil – Innovation and Gaming
- Desi Browne – Arts Administration
- Diego Spanner – Service Provider
Minister Samal Duggins extended a special congratulations to the Creative of the Year, Byron Messia. He said that his revolutionary contributions to the music industry have not only echoed across the Caribbean but have made a persisting mark on the global stage.
In addition to this, he also extended huge congratulations to Clarissa Violenus who grabbed victory in the Den: Pitch Perfect Competition, walking away with an impressive $20,000 for her innovative business pitch.
He also congratulated Turquoisa Henry who was the winner of the Spotlight SKN: Talent Competition, who wowed judges and earned herself $4000.
About the Creative Power Arts Gala and Awards Show, the Minister of Creative Economy expressed proudly how it turned out to be a great success. He also said that it was truly an evening of celebration and inspiration showcasing immense talent within the Federation.
“Congratulations to all the awardees and winners- you have all set the bar high and continue to inspire us with your dedication and creativity. Well deserved,” concluded Minister Duggins.
Notably, this was the first edition of the Creative Power Arts Convention which turned out to be a great success and significantly it was hailed by several well-renowned creatives of St Kitts and Nevis.
