The prime minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew traveled to New York for the 78th edition of the United Nations General Assembly. He shared that he traveled via the recently started flights of American Airlines from St Kitts to New York. He was extremely excited to share that he would be representing the people of St Kitts and Nevis to this remarkable event. The prime minister left for New York immediately after St Kitts and Nevis concluded the Independence 40 celebration.
Accordingly, Dr Terrance Drew took the initiative to thank the people of his country for a great celebration of the national occasion. During his independence day address, the prime minister spoke of a reset that he wanted to introduce for the people of the country starting at Independence 40. In line with this, he noted that the independence reset is for you, (the people)
The prime Minister reiterated some of the promises which he had made during his 40th independence day address of the nation and urged the people of St Kitts and Nevis to be grateful and patient with its rollout as this has never been done before. He asked the people of the country to show patience with the institutions and asserted that through good management and hard work this Reset is possible.
Dr Terrance Drew extended his sincere gratitude to the Cabinet for its hard work. At the same time, he informed the people of the country that in order to access their benefits, they need to visit SKELEC – St. Kitts Electricity Co. Ltd, the Water Services Department, and NHC St. Kitts.
Dr Drew also added that For the workers bonus through Social Security Board St Kitts and Nevis (Please see social security for more details), it will apply to all who have contributed 26 payments or 6 to 7 months to the Social Security Fund. Our workers worked hard to achieve and build our independent democracy .
