Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew shared that the government’s crime prevention strategies and resilience of the people of St Kitts and Nevis has helped to achieve a significant reduction in the number of homicide cases during the last four months.
He said that they achieved a great milestone in public safety with over 70% reduction in crime, creating hope for the people to live in a crime free state.
PM Drew said, “It is a time to celebrate, especially for our young people, who are choosing life over violence.”
He stated that as a part of the country, everyone should work together to protect the people and dignity of St Kitts and Nevis.
Furthermore, he said that it is important to celebrate this progress, urging citizens to support strategies that help create safety, especially for young people, while also maintaining unity, peace and building a prosperous and secure future for St Kitts and Nevis.
90-Day-Anti-Crime campaign
Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew further appreciated and thanked the nation’s security forces who were involved in the 90-day anti-crime campaign that led to the substantial decline in violent crimes.
The 90-day anti-crime campaign was a part of the government’s Citizen Security Strategy, which was aimed at initiating sustainable programmes to promote the safety and harmony of the people of the twin island nation.

Further PM Drew stated that we should focus on growth, resilience and working on making St Kitts and Nevis a better and developed nation.
