St Kitts and Nevis: Minister of Sports and the Parliamentary Representative of Constituency 4, Samal Duggins, visited the Tyrrel Williams Primary School and the Verchilds High School to welcome the students to new school year and extend his best wishes.
The Minister made the visit on September 3, 2024 and shared the glimpses and highlights of the visit on his official social media account.
While sharing the pictures, Minister Hanley noted that he had the privilege of visiting both the Tyrrel Williams Primary School and the Verchilds High School and called both the institutes the pillars of excellence in the community.
Minister Samal Duggins expressed his joy that he felt as he welcomed the students back and extended his warm wishes. He said, “It was a true joy to extend my best wishes and welcome back the bright stars of the west as they embark on a new school year.”
Notably, the Minister of Sports, et al., expressed the felling of proud while congratulating the Verchilds High School for achieving the best CXC results in the nation and that too for the third time.
He also said that this outstanding accomplishment reflects the unwavering dedication and commitment of the students, teachers, principal, and the staff.
Minister Duggins mentioned that as a former student of the school, a maths teacher, and currently the parliamentary representative for Constituency Four, he is feeling really proud.
“Here’s to the best primary and secondary schools in the country! Let’s continue to striving for excellence together,” he stated.
In addition to this, the Minister also gave a special shoutout to the bright minds at the Verchilds High school and the dedicated young learners at the Tyrrel Williams Primary School, in his Back to School address on the social media.
Minister Samal Duggins also shared the glimpses of the Back To School Fun Day Event that he hosted and mentioned how it was a resounding success.
