The Premier of Nevis and leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement, Mark Brantley recently took to his social media account to share his views about including the Republic of China in the major international decision and major global affairs. He asserted that the world needs the people of Taiwan for the proper functioning of the world.
The republic of China (Taiwan) is one of the oldest and the most loyals allies of St Kitts and Nevis. They have supported several developmental initiatives of the country. Accordingly, The Premier of Nevis has taken the initiative to advocate in favour of the country.
According to Premier Mark Brantley, The world cannot afford to allow the Republic of China (Taiwan), a peaceful, democratic and modern country to be excluded from critical global affairs over local internal politics.
The premier of Nevis believes that Taiwan should be allowed a voice at the World Health Assembly (WHA) to share its vast experience as global leaders in healthcare provision. Taiwan should be allowed to participate at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as it hosts one of the busiest airports in Asia and is on the cutting edge of aviation safety and security.
He added that Taiwan should be allowed to participate in INTERPOL as the fight against transnational crime knows neither politics nor boundaries. Taiwan must be allowed to share its expertise across international multilateral organizations as we all strive to meet our Sustainable Development Goals. The premier of Nevis, mark Brantley stated that The world cannot continue to justify excluding 23.3 million people from the global community.
Accordingly, the Premier of Nevis stated i his social media post that We thank Taiwan for its long partnership with St Kitts and Nevis, and as we approach 40 years of Independence and 40 years of friendship between our two peoples, we join in the ever increasingly loud chorus that it is time that the expertise, knowledge and technology that Taiwan has to offer the world be allowed into the global space without further delay.
Premier Mark Brantley shared that We face major global challenges and we must ensure that all voices are allowed to be heard and all hands are allowed on deck as, collectively we put our shoulders to the wheel and find solutions for a sustainable future for us all.
