Caribbean Galaxy Real Estate Corporation has come on board as the Title Sponsor of Junior Carnival for Sugar Mas 51. The Sugar Mas and the Junior carnival have yet to occur after being absent for two (2) years due to Covid 19. The National Carnival Committee will be holding the Junior Carnival Parade in Basseterre on Saturday, December 31, 2022.
The handing-over ceremony occurred on Friday, November 18. During the (ceremony) event, Vicky Wenhang attended as Caribbean Galaxy’s representative and represented the Company’s CEO. She handed over EC$50,000 to Chairperson Shannon Hawley of the St Kitts Nevis National Carnival Committee (SKNNCC).
During the event, Wenhang indicated that it was the sponsoring Company’s (Galaxy) pleasure to come on board for the first time to support the National Carnival and youth development.
Caribbean Galaxy is the developer of the recently opened Ramada By Wyndham St. Kitts Resort, located in St Pauls area of St Kitts.
Chairperson of the SKNNCC, Shannon Hawley, shared her enthusiasm as she welcomed yet another Platinum Sponsor for Sugar Mas 51. She expressed her satisfaction that the Junior Parade will be prominently featured because of the sponsorship of Caribbean Galaxy Real Estate Corporation.
Junior Carnival returns to Sugar Mas with an improved format featuring Junior Folklore, Majorettes, Junior competition winners, Bold Carnival’s inaugural presentation dubbed ᖴIᖇᔕT ᑕᒪᗩᔕᔕ ᗰᗩᔕ and a soon to be launched troupe, ᗷEᗩᑌTY ᗩᑎᗪ TᕼE ᗷEᗩᔕT. It will form part of the Street Activities component, which was missing in 2020 and 2021.
The Sugar Mas 51 Carnival is returning to St Kitts and Nevis after an unplanned hiatus of two years necessitated by the worldwide pandemic. The preliminary events in the itinerary of Sugar Mas began in November. These events include The Facetime MUA Challenge and The Sugar Mas Awards, among others. Officially, the Sugar Mas event will open on December 2, 2022.
