St Kitts and Nevis celebrated the 39th year of independence. The nation secured its independence from British rule on September 19, 1983. The day’s celebration is still ongoing in the country, even though several days have passed since D-Day.
EK the real right and 5-star Pino, hosted an Independence Freedom Concert on September 29, 2022. The government of St Kitts and Nevis hosted the concert at the Warner Park Cricket Stadium.
The celebration of 40 years of independence, in the form of the freedom concert, was attended by several nationals, residents and citizens of St Kitts and Nevis.
The concert starting at 8:00 PM, was a converging point for hundreds of residents and citizens who showed up at the event to celebrate with their friends and families.
Jamaican reggae superstar Tarrus Riley is among many other artists invited to feature at the Independence Freedom Concert. Some of the others include Rucas HE, Dejour, Rodney, Sister Sensia, Akaiiusweet, Infamus, KT Dan, Hi Light, Bacchanalist Crew and the Grandmasters Band.
The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, and the Minister of Entertainment and the Arts, Samal Duggins, were also in attendance at the Freedom Concert.

The Ministers of St Kitts and Nevis, led by the Prime Minister, have attended and hosted several events in celebration of the nation’s Independence Day. The Prime Minister, accompanied by his cabinet, visited the primary and secondary schools of the island ahead of Independence Day to extend their greetings to the children.
