The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis attended the thanksgiving service in honor of the country’s 42nd anniversary of independence. The members of the government, ambassadors amd leaders of the country all gathered at the Zion Moravian Church, Victoria Road.
The Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew and the Leader of the Opposition, Mark Brantley read from the Old and the New Testaments of the God respectively. The thanksgiving service was hosted on Sunday preceding the main independence day event.
The Ministers of the cabinet were also present at the event to thank the god for 42 years of independence for the whole nation. The officials have shared that the whole nation is united in the celebration of the independence milestone.
The officials have shared that the event is proof of the grounded approach of the country and its people. The church service started around 4:00 PM after all the persons of importance had arrived.
Prior to the beginning of this main event, brother Bro. Blessed Ogbum delivered a breathtaking musical interlude. The opening address for the event was delivered by the Pastor Delroy Josiah of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. The Opening Prayer is the responsibility of Pastor Louisa Thomas of the Antioch Baptist Church.
After this, the Praise & Worship Session led by the Zion Moravian Church Praise and Worship Team. The church service was a place of showing gratitude, unity and appreciation for the history of the nation.
The officials have shared that the members of the community were delighted to be part of this initiative and help celebrate the 42 year milestone for the country. The independence day celebrations are being done all over the country with significant fervor.
All the members of the community are looking forward to the independence day celebration which are scheduled for Friday, September 19, 2025. The main event for the 42nd Independence Anniversary will mark national celebrations, parades, national recognition of armed forces and more.
