Minister of Creative Economy Samal Duggins said that the highly anticipated Creative Arts Centre will soon finish its construction, a step forward to achieving the goal of a thriving creative economy for St Kitts and Nevis.
Minister Duggins recently attended the Citizenship & Residency in the New Era conference in Hong Kong, where he represented St Kitts and Nevis and presented the Creative Arts Centre project.
The presentation of this project on an international level will boost investment and collaboration opportunities, benefiting the citizens of St Kitts and Nevis. This presentation can also boost tourism and the overall development and economy of the Federation.
Moreover, the project shows the government’s commitment to building a sustainable creative economy where creativity fuels economic growth and national pride.
Minister Duggins describes the centre as an investment in the people
Minister Samal Duggins shared some glimpses from the Hong Kong conference and said that the centre is not just an infrastructural project, but is an investment in the people, culture, and the future of St Kitts and Nevis.
He further added that the centre is designed after a lot of consultation with the creative community and reflects the nation’s talent and innovation, which is set to transform the creative landscape of St Kitts and Nevis.
The soon-to-be-built Creative Arts Centre will offer a platform for the youth of St Kitts and Nevis to nurture, inspire, and elevate themselves in various fields, ranging from music to fashion, dance to digital, as it provides new opportunities, economic empowerment, and cultural pride.
