The Haemodialysis Unit of St Kitts and Nevis is celebrating its 10th anniversary during the first week of September. The Ministry of Health has invited the country’s people to attend the below-mentioned events.
The Ministry of Health has been trying to equip the Haemodialysis Unit with better and more modern equipment for the people. The ministry took possession of some new dialysis machines to allow the island’s people to access the dialysis facility. This way, any people needing treatment would not have to travel overseas or out of the island for the same.
The Ministry of Health is extremely excited about the new development in the healthcare capacity of St Kitts and Nevis. Accordingly, the milestone of the ten-year anniversary of the Haemodialysis Unit is also an important event.
The celebration events for the ten-year anniversary of the Haemodialysis Unit begin with an Anniversary Church Service at the Faith Tabernacle Church of God in Old Road at 10:00 AM on Sunday, September 3.
On Monday, September 4, there will be a Display in the Foyer of the JNF Hospital from 8:00 AM. to 3:00 PM, where the Haemodialysis Unit will take the opportunity to arrange a full demonstration of the dialysis machines. Further, the Ministry of Health will also offer the public free blood pressure and blood sugar checks.
On the day of the Anniversary, Wednesday, September 6, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM will be an Open Day at the Haemodialysis Unit. The press will be invited to interview the nurses and patients and witness firsthand the full function of the dialysis machines.
