The Department of Community Development and Social Services in collaboration with the Department of Gender Affairs organized the Family Fun Day & Cook-Off. The event was hosted on Saturday of the previous week at the Newtown Playing Field with several families in attendance.
The event was organized with the mandate of bringing the members of the community together for a day of enjoyment. The officials have shared that the members of the community organize such events every year to promote a sense of unity in the region.
The event has brought the communities together for competitions, food enjoyment and relaxation for the whole nation.
