Charlestown Nevis: The Luxury Cruise Emerald Azzura made its inaugural visit to the Queen’s Island, Nevis earlier on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. This was the maiden sail of the cruise to the Caribbean region, which brought numerous adventures to its visitors worldwide.
This Superyacht with a carrying capacity of about 100 passengers brought over 62 passengers and several crew to the island’s shores. The Tourism Authority of Nevis proudly welcomed the cruise with open arms.
The visitors had numerous opportunities to explore the beauty of Nevis’s charms which were offered to visitors during their disembarkation on the island. The visitors also experienced the beauty of the captivating Nevisian island. It also impacted the region positively in terms of its economy and cultural exchange that the first voyage visits brought.
“Thank you, Emerald Azzurra, for choosing Nevis as a destination. Nevis looks forward to hosting more cruise ships and continues to provide unparalleled experiences for visitors,” the Authority further noted.
John Hanley, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism in the Nevis Island Administration (NIA), greeted the cruise Captain, Julian Burgess upon their arrival.
“We welcome you to Nevis, one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean. Nevis is full of very friendly people and we are very glad to have you here,” he noted.
Pheon Jones, the Marketing and Sales Director for the Nevis Tourism Authority (NTA) also presented the Captain with a commemorative gift and welcomed the Captain, crew, and passengers to Nevis.
Meanwhile, the Captain was also delighted and grateful for his first visit to Nevis and was excited for the opportunity to experience the island.
Emerald Azzura is currently on its seven-day round trip to the Grenadines and the Grenada adventure. The cruise took off its journey from Bridgetown, Barbados on Saturday (February 24), and will return to Barbados on March 2.
