St Kitts and Nevis: The distribution of material amongst the farmers of St Kitts and Nevis under the 25 by 25 agenda is ongoing. The distribution of the drought resistant material for the 25 by 25 took the head start from St Peters.

Field agents and technical officers including Jeanelle Kelly, the Director of Agriculture installed ground cover on the Crop Farmer Dennis Puran’s farm. Such an installment is done as part of the 25 by 25 Agenda rollout.

The 25 by 25 agenda is part of the CARICOM agenda which aimed at reducing the food import bills by 25% by the year 2025. As the prime objective behind the agenda is food security, the authorities of the country are working dedicatedly towards its accomplishment.

Samal Duggins, the Minister of Agriculture of St Kitts has pledged to make it successful. The efforts which include distribution that hold remarkable contributions. The success in the agenda would benefit the country as a whole.

This initiative is projected to provide an economic boost, as the locally produced food items would offer special benefits to the population of St Kitts and Nevis. In simple words, the reduced cost for the food items would hold considerable benefit.

The Ministry of Agriculture also shared some of the glimpses of the work they have been doing towards the transformational growth taking place in the country.

One of the citizens named, Quanti Yahsand even appreciated the efforts by the authorities. He mentioned, “ It is truly remarkable to witness the significant enhancement of our agriculture sector, which in turn contributes to the thriving growth of our economy.”

Such statements from the netizens proves remarkable actions which the government is taking for the growth and development of the country has promised to avail the benefits to the citizens of the country.

The improvement being done to the agriculture sector not only presents the idea of transformation in an individual section, but also reflects the idea of the Government of the country towards overall growth.
