Fifteen cases are listed for hearing when the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal sits at the Sir Lee Llewellyn Moore Judicial and Legal Services Complex in Basseterre in St Kitts from February 10th to 14th.
The final list was updated on February 7, 2020. A Preliminary Cause List dated January 22, 2020 listed 28 matters including criminal appeals from the High and Magistrate Courts.
According to the St Lucia-based Court of Appeal Registry, judges of the Appeal Court will hear eight (8) applications; five (5) High Court Civil Appeal cases including one from the Antigua and Barbuda Circuit to be heard over a two day period, and two (2) Magisterial Civil Appeal matters.
The Court will also deliver a judgment in a Montserrat matter – David Brandt v the Commissioner of Police.
