The Young People for Action on Climate Change – Caribbean Youth Climate Justice Coalition is hosting a Climate Justice Animation Competition. The applications started on November 11, 2023 and the results will be in on November 21, 2023.
The competition aims to increase young people’s informational capacity and cooperation at the local, regional, and global levels.
Classification and classes: This is open to CARICOM nationals aged 18-28 who work in fields related to climate action, justice, or gender.
Participants create short animated films (3-5 minutes) about climate justice and vulnerable populations with only transition.
AWARD and EVALUATION:
The winner of the animation competition will receive a $2,000 cash prize and visibility in regional climate justice campaigns.
Entries will be judged on creativity, clarity of message, visual excellence, thematic relevance and emotional impact.
IMPORTANT DATES:
The animation competition starts on 11.11.2023. The application deadline is 21.11.2023, and the winners will be announced on 27.11.2023.
HOW TO ENTER:
Detailed submission instructions are available on YPACC, Twitter, and Instagram. The competition aims to use animations to ensure climate justice and encourage the transition to a fairer and more sustainable future by aligning the activities leading up to COP28.
