An overnight flight of American Airlines which flew from Miami to St Kitts and back to Miami has been cancelled over the issue of quarantine of pilots.
The flight that has been cancelled was scheduled to arrive from Miami on Sunday night and was to depart from St Kitts on Monday morning.
The American Airlines daily afternoon flight had landed as per its schedule. Still, two male passengers who had arrived by that flight refused to go into quarantine for 14 days and instead opted to return back to Miami on the next return flight.
Additionally, it has been reported that the pilots who landed from the afternoon flight and would have had taken the early morning flight to Miami were informed that they would have to be quarantined for 14 days as well.
It has been said that there was no formal advance communication from St Kitts and Nevis Government to American Airlines.
